Music
Us
Hi, we’re Wooden Soldiers, a band from the Netherlands. We make music that’s firmly rooted in folk, but only two of us have beards and we like to explore the edges of the genre. From three-part vocal harmonies and violins to distorted guitars and raw synthesizers. And from Indian harmonium and intimate guitar finger picking to vast soundscapes. We call it rootsy dreamfolk. Give it a spin, it just might be your thing.
Anyway, nice to meet you! We’d love to keep in touch. So scroll down and let us know where to reach you!

Album out now & reviews
Our album is finally out and proud on Spotify, iTunes, Deezer, Google Play, you name it. Want a physical copy? Come see us live or order a CD on Bandcamp. We’re proud to say that every review our album received is more than positive. Dear reviewers, you make us blush!
The quality is convincing, the variation between the songs excellent and the music and singing a joy to listen to. An extremely nice autumn surprise.

I can’t remember the last time i heard such a well produced album as the debutalbum of Wooden Soldiers. indebanvan.nl
With this debut the band may get a a lot of praise.

In the future we can undoubtedly expect more beautiful things from this Dutch folk formation.

Single release You Know
Irresistibly absurd and slightly hysterical… Yes, we’ve got a new video out along with single number six: You Know. It is the last single release before our first full length album is out on 29 November.
You Know is a song about the little devil on your shoulder, whispering sweet little lies into your ear. The little voice that tries to sabotage your every move, by making you doubt everything you do. I think.
The video is once again by our very own Agnes Loonstra, who also created the videos for My Name, Potion and City Lights. We’d try to explain what the video is about, but it’s probably best if you simply give it a watch.
Album Release Concert 27 November
After six singles and a series of try-outs we’re releasing our long-awaited first full length album in a few short weeks.
We’re hosting a semi-acoustic concert in Utrecht on Wednesday 27 November. We’re really looking forward to it, not just because we can finally share our album with you, but also because we’ve got a really special and intimate concert planned. We’ll literally be playing in the middle of the audience…
Because of this setup, tickets are limited. So go get one at Eventbrite
